I was in a bind this past weekend and needed a hotel. So I booked this hotel through Expedia by phone on Saturday evening. The owner called before the booking was complete to ask me what time I would be arriving. I told him that my situation had changed and I would be canceling. He informed me to go through Expedia. When I did, the owner informed Expedia that he would not be able to cancel and was going to charge me. What a nice scam!!! He got the full amount from me without providing any service, any accommodation and any good will. I hope the owner feels good for taking advantage of a woman in bind.
