If I could give more stars I would. Stuck on a Sunday with a nail in my tire and just happened to reach Ryan from Goodyear. The business was closed but he made a trip to shop to fix my tire. Many thanks for the help and outstanding service he provided!!

When my vehicle recently had a breakdown on the 401 near Cobourg, I was grateful to reach Ian, the manager, at Goodyear on William Street in Cobourg on the phone before the shop closed. I felt assured that I had called the right place to get the vehicle towed there to be inspected the next day. When Ian called me with the news that I could not drive my car without significant repair, he took extra time on the phone to brainstorm options, giving me helpful guidance. I made arrangements to have the vehicle towed to the dealership in my town north of Toronto, and Ian offered to pick up me and my belongings from the where I was staying to take me to Goodyear and wait for the CAA tow truck driver. My experience was completely positive and I recommend this business. If I lived in Cobourg, I would choose Goodyear on William Street. The customer service is fantastic. Thank you, Ian!
Got slapped with a bill for $750 for them replacing the wrong part. Initially I called to request a quote on a clutch master cylinder being replaced replaced. They quoted me and then said if I didnt get them to diagnose the problem (for a fee) they wouldn’t guarantee their work. So I said sure, diagnose the problem. When they did the diagnosis they said it was the clutch slave cylinder . So they replaced the slave cylinder which didn’t fix the problem. I took the vehicle back due to the fact that it wasn’t fixed, and since I paid their “diagnosis fee” and they’d misdiagnosed the problem it should be covered right? WRONG…the guy that did the diagnosis had every excuse in the book as to why they aren’t fixing the problem I paid for them to fix. I proceeded to take it to the mechanic I should have taken to in the first place and he replaced the clutch master cylinder and the clutch pedal is functioning as intended…flawlessly. To me if you’re going to charge over $100 for a diagnosis it should go into a fund to fix the customers vehicles that are misdiagnosed! I’m not rich therefore I can’t afford diagnosis that are incorrect and then have them refuse stand behind their work. I paided an alternative mechanic $350 for a job they quoted me $850…shop around people!!

When I visited for a routine service of the a/c they told me I needed a new compressor at a cost of $1600. I visited another shop for a 2nd opinion, and these guys were able to evacuate the system, check for leaks and refill the a/c, all for $120. It has been working flawlessly ever since. I won't be going back to Goodyear...
Spent a thousand dollars overall on AC repairs visit one. AC runs warm then cold at highway speeds. Takes 20 minutes to get cool visit 2. They Had the car for most of a day, got it back with cold AC and it ,lasted less than a week. Visit 3 back in next Wednesday...maybe 3rd times the charm.Final visit results: " After diagnosing the system, the BCM and head unit electrical all checked out OK. Followed diagnostic and electrical through OBD port and the compressor is causing the A/C to operate intermittently. The electrical is reading too high of pressure when it isn't from the compressor which causes the pressure switch to cancel the request and begin blowing hot air. Requires new A/C compressor assembly." Cost: 1274.03$.
