It is with pleasure and confidence that I write this review for Sherry Heenan.I have had the privilege of receiving physio care from Sherry for several years now, at three different clinics; for a multitude of injuries and chronic ailments.The unique efforts Sherry puts into analyzing, planning and delivering her therapeutic treatments is the foundation for the success she attains. Sherry uses high level critical thinking capacity when she addresses her clients needs. She has extremely acute observation and analysis strengths, often being able to adjust a movement or exercise on the spot to make it immediately more beneficial and/or less intrusive. A rare and most valuable quality Sherry possesses, is the ability to learn from her patients feedback and capitalize on patient abilities and interests; to make therapeutic adjustments in her approaches; as she applies this new awareness to future treatment sessions, in innovative and personalized pathways.I have observed Sherry, now being the co-owner of the Heenan-Flay Wellness Centre; having a confident facility communicating with all stakeholders. Her community outreach approach, where she strives to involve the public and her cohort practitioners in all health fields, in the sharing of expertise and awareness on the pursuit of personal well being is unique and exemplary! This of course goes hand in hand with her continual quest to be the best through constantly refining and honing her craft through on-going PD and consultation with other practitioners (she is like a sponge on a quest for more knowledge and experience). Her confidence and competence dichotomy is truly something to behold! Sherry Heenan, is patient, calming, fun to be around (charismatic), intelligible (she can make her clients understand the physio jargonese in lay terms), realistic and flexible (she will reassuringly tell you when something is OK to stop or start), positive (she gives timely reinforcement and encouragement for your efforts), and caring (you will see this in her passion for her chosen vocation when you first meet her and it is perpetual!)Sherry is a true role model for personal well being as a physiotherapist. She actively lives a life full of fitness and she has a very healthy and contagious perspective on movement that cannot be avoided. Sherry is the most natural and intuitive physiotherapist that you would ever encounter. Her ability to innovate novel treatment approaches is truly remarkable.
