Tried to bring in cats that were dropped off, because people see a barn and toss. I do realize why people do this. Northumberland refuses to take in cats. I've tried three times. Given an intake number for pickup and told they only pick up dogs. Just curious, how do you get your cats, if you refuse public drop off? Do you have your on kitten mills?
Lost my application when I called in to check on the status. They said they would speak to the team working the day I came in to figure out what happened and update me and they never reached out again. Really upsetting
My cat Charlie that l.got from this place 11 years ago is still doing fantastic. He now has 2 girl siblings who he is fascinated about. Thank you again for Charlie. ?
We were treated so well and the cats and informed of their health and traits . The place was spotless and staff friendly. We brought home a little black kitty and when we opened the carrier she bounced out and within an hour she was cuddled up beside hubby and slept in bed with us for the night. Thanks for being there and providing us with a happy well adjusted family member
4star only... It's only because the amount of money. I don't believe it should be fair that a person should have to pay almost $1400 to get 2 puppies fixed And looked at with no issues... For example charging $35 for the tape that goes around the dogs leg... Or charging an additional amount because you brought in 2 dogs at once.... I understand inflation but during a pandemic it should not be murder when you rescue puppies and want to make sure their up to date.
We've gotten our last 3 kittens there. They have a foster program where the newborns stay with a family to be litter trained and get used to other animals and people. The kittens get their shots. Their prices are very reasonable and they follow up when an animal is adopted. Their facility is well kept and has plenty of space for the animals to mingle at times.
The staff at this shelter are amazing - they are so supportive and helpful. They were such a pleasure to deal with when we adopted our 2 cats. They go above and beyond and take wonderful care of the animals. I would recommend them highly - it was a great experience!
